Six Carole Lombard movies - a wrap

Hopefully this will be the last of my Carole Lombard postings for a while. Much as I like Carole Lombard, it's time to move on. But I did what I had wanted to do - scribble some comments on each of the six films that made up Carole Lombard - the Glamour Collection. If you want to have a look, here's what I thought about each one:

- Man of the World (1931)
- We're Not Dressing (1934)
- Hands Across the Table (1935)
- Love Before Breakfast (1936)
- The Princess Comes Across (1936)
- True Confession (1937)

Interestingly, there was only one that I didn't particularly like.

I love old movies. Especially the men in them, they are limited edition. They certainly don't make them anymore. There is just somehting about good old Jimmy fumbling with his hat over a pretty girl that is awesome.

I find I fall in love with all the women (like Carole Lombard). As for the men, what strikes me is their clothes. I liked the way they were dressed. I'd love to wear clothes like that (assuming I could afford them.)
